Beyond Supplements: What Integrative Naturopathic Care Actually Looks Like
When most people hear the word naturopath, they picture supplements.
Maybe some herbs. Maybe a long list of vitamins. Maybe a practitioner who tells you to cut out gluten and drink more water and come back in six weeks.
That’s not what I do.
Not because supplements aren’t valuable, they are, when they’re the right ones in the right forms chosen from real data about what your specific body actually needs. But supplements are one layer of a much bigger picture. And treating them like the whole picture is one of the reasons so many women spend money on protocol after protocol without ever feeling like they’ve actually gotten to the root of what’s going on.
Integrative naturopathic care, the way I practice it at Elevate Women’s Wellness, looks at everything. It asks different questions. It uses different tools. And it stays with you through the process in a way that a one-time appointment or a generic wellness plan simply cannot.
Let me show you what that actually looks like.
It Starts With Your Story
Before I ever look at a lab result, I want to know your story.
Not just your symptoms. Your story. How did you get here? What did your health look like before this? What happened in your body during your pregnancies, your postpartum recoveries, your hormonal transitions? What does your stress look like? Your sleep? Your relationship with food? Your family health history? The things that conventional medicine rarely asks because a ten-minute appointment doesn’t have room for them?
Your body didn’t arrive at where it is today randomly. There is a thread. And following that thread is how we find the root, not just the symptoms sitting on top of it.
This is why the intake process at Elevate Women’s Wellness is thorough. It has to be. The story is the foundation. Everything else is built on it.
Then We Look at the Data
Once I understand your story, we look at your labs.
A comprehensive panel of over 120 biomarkers through Optimal Health Systems, plus the female hormone panel that maps your full hormonal picture. Real data about what’s happening in your body at the biochemical level. Not a guess. Not a symptom checklist. Actual numbers that tell us where things stand and where they need support.
As we covered in [120 Biomarkers and What They Mean: A Woman’s Guide to Reading Her Own Labs], I’m not just looking at whether your numbers fall within reference ranges. I’m looking at where they fall, how they relate to each other, and how they connect to everything you’ve told me about your history and your symptoms. That combination — story plus data — is what makes it possible to build a protocol that’s actually targeted to you.
No guessing. No generic plans. Your body. Your numbers. Your protocol.
The Bioenergetic Layer
Here’s where integrative naturopathic care goes somewhere that conventional medicine doesn’t.
Your body is not just biochemistry. It’s also energy. Every cell in your body communicates through electrical signals. Your nervous system runs on frequency. Your emotional state, your stress history, your patterns of tension and release — all of it lives in your body’s energetic field as well as in your tissues and your bloodstream.
This is why I include bioenergetic assessment as part of the care I provide at Elevate Women’s Wellness.
Using voice-based frequency technology, I assess patterns in your body’s energetic field that standard lab work can’t see. A brief voice recording is all it takes. The technology analyzes the frequencies present in your voice, identifies what’s out of balance, and generates personalized audio tones that support your nervous system in coming back to regulation.
My clients receive these frequency reports weekly. Some notice shifts in mood, anxiety, and sleep quickly. Others find the effects build over time. Both are normal. The nervous system responds in its own rhythm.
This layer of care doesn’t replace the lab work or the nutritional protocol. It works alongside them. Kinda like how you can have a great foundation, strong walls, and a solid roof, but if the HVAC isn’t working, the whole house is uncomfortable. Frequency wellness is the climate control that makes the rest of the structure livable.
Nutritional Coaching That’s Actually Personal
Eating well is not the same as eating well for your body, in your season of life, with your specific hormonal picture and your specific nutritional deficiencies.
Using a robust food database alongside your lab results and your health history, I help you build an eating pattern that speaks directly to what your body needs right now. Not a rigid meal plan. Not another list of foods to avoid. A practical, personalized framework that supports your hormones, your energy, your gut, and your recovery without making food feel like punishment.
For postpartum women, this includes the foundational six-week nutritional recovery framework built on the methodology of Maranda Bower of Postpartum University. Her research on what the postpartum body loses, what it actually needs, and how the gut must be restored before deeper nutritional rebuilding can happen forms the backbone of the nutritional guidance I provide to every postpartum client.
For women in perimenopause, it means an approach that accounts for the hormonal shifts driving their body’s changing needs. For women in preconception, it means building the nutritional foundation that sets both mother and baby up for the best possible start.
Food is medicine. But only when it’s the right medicine for the right person at the right time.
Consistent Support Over Time
This is one of the things I’m most proud of in how Elevate Women’s Wellness is built: I don’t see you once and send you home with a protocol. I stay with you.
Every month, you receive a progress questionnaire that helps me track how you’re doing between visits. I respond to everyone personally, because a brief word of encouragement or a clinical note about something worth watching matters. It tells you that someone is paying attention.
Your monthly visit is informed by that questionnaire, so we’re not starting from scratch every time. We’re building on what we know, adjusting what needs adjusting, and celebrating what’s working.
Your labs are rerun every six months so we can see the protocol working in real numbers, not just in how you feel.
And when something comes up between visits, you have bounded access to me. Not unlimited, but thoughtful. From a practitioner who actually knows you.
This is what sustained care looks like. Not a transaction. A relationship.
What This Is Not
I want to be clear, because clarity builds trust.
Integrative naturopathic care is not a replacement for emergency medicine or for the management of serious disease. If you’re in crisis or have a condition that requires specialist care, I will always tell you that and support you in getting it.
What I offer is the layer of care that fills the gap between crisis and true wellness. The layer that conventional medicine, structured around disease management and ten-minute appointments, simply doesn’t have the tools or the time to provide.
For women who are not acutely ill but who are not thriving either, for women who have been told they’re fine while knowing something is wrong, this is the care that changes things.
