Sound familiar?
“I'm wide awake at 3 a.m., and the alarm's set for 5:45.”
“My brain feels like wet sand, and I have a 9:00 with my manager.”
“I'm pumping in a borrowed office, watching the clock on the door.”
“The newborn chaos is behind me. So why don't I feel like myself yet?”
You're not imagining it. Going back to work is one of the most demanding stretches of postpartum, and almost nobody plans for it that way. You got a six-week checkup. You probably didn't get a plan for week fourteen.
What's inside
- A four-week lead-up plan. Each week gets one job, so day one stops feeling like a cliff.
- The caregiver sheet. Everything your baby's caregiver needs to know, printed front and back on one sheet.
- Three make-ahead meals for a postpartum body. Breakfast, lunch, a slow-cooker dinner, and a one-hour Sunday prep plan.
- Boundary scripts. Word-for-word lines for work, for family, and for the voice in your own head.
- Your first-month check-in. Five minutes every Friday shows you what's working and what needs to change.
Plus journal pages, a sample workday that leaves room for you, and a pump bag checklist. Short on time? Start with the week you're in.
Why I wrote this
I spent years working beside women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Mothers get watched closely through all of it. Then they're cleared at six weeks and expected to get on with it.
I'm a mother of three. Going back to work is more than a scheduling problem... your body, your capacity, and your sense of who you are are all still moving. You deserve a plan for that part too. So I wrote one.
